Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift's interest in music began at an early stage. From plays for children to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. In 2011, Swift aged 11 at the time, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball match. The year after that Swift began writing her own songs. She drew inspiration from the popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of being a tween and feeling alienated. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was 13so she could be able to spend longer pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
